NACD A U.S. organization for corporate *directors, *boards of directors, and their advisors. Established in 1977 and headquartered in Washington, DC, the NACD Web site describes the organization as "the premier educational, publishing and consulting organization in board leadership" and "an authoritative voice and vital forum on matters of policy and practice." The NACD’s activities include highly respected research into aspects of *corporate governance through the reports of its *Blue Ribbon Commissions.
